Huawei is coming to Pakistan and not in any small way. Huawei technology is taking leaps and bounds in telecom advancement and it specializes in 3G and 4G spectrums. In a recent road show organized in Pakistan, Huawei displayed various products such as 4G modules, 3G mobile phones, 4G tablets and laptops were on display, among other products.
In a presentation, the performance of the products was displayed that surprised the visitors at the speed of 3G and 4G technologies. Dr. Yaseen, who inaugurated the road show, spoke on the occasion and explained how Pakistan was ready for 3G back in 2006 but it was delayed. He gave facts that Pakistan is now adding about 2.5 million subscribers every month but at this time the need is to take telecom technology to the next level rather than overburdening the existing infrastructure.
What Pakistan needs right now is the 3G spectrum. We have already used 2G to its limit, stagnating the flow of information. When we will shift to the new spectrum, the sheer speed and options of 3G and 4G will bring about a new revolution in technology and how we use it.
The visitors got the chance to experience HSPA+, LTE, FDD&TDD, SingleRAN and Wimax technologies through on-site demonstrations. It was an excellent way to acquaint with the new next generation of technology and realize its potential.
Is it time for Pakistan to move on to 3G or 4G should be our next target?
